Sometimes a homeowner will experience a "rotten egg" smell coming from their kitchen faucet or shower this is caused by: 

• Corroded anode rod: A corroded magnesium anode rod in the water heater can react with sulfur in the water to produce hydrogen sulfide gas. 
• Sulfates: A breakdown of sulfate in the water heater can cause a rotten egg smell. 
• By replacing the old rod with a new aluminum/zinc rod it will help eliminate that odor.
• This service includes removing the existing anode rod and replacing with new.
